Howard County police are identifying the driver and sole-occupant in the single-vehicle collision that occurred in Clarksville earlier today.
Michael Louis Fellin, 76, of Olney, was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center
following the crash. He is currently listed in critical condition.
At approximately 10:20 a.m., a 2017 Toyota Rav4 was traveling eastbound on Brighton Dam Road just
west of Firethorn Lane when the driver failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and struck an
embankment and sign. The investigation is ongoing.
Brighton Dam Road was closed between Haviland Mill Road and the Montgomery County line for two
and a half hours but has since reopened.
