An adult male victim reported that he got into an argument with an acquaintance, who then assaulted the victim and stole his cell phone and a check. Police responded, located the suspect, and arrested him. No serious injuries were reported.

An adult male victim reported he was working at the front door by the cash register when a male suspect with his face partially covered approached him, displayed a knife, and demanded cash. The victim complied and the suspect fled. No one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.

Non-fatal shooting arrest update
Police have arrested a suspect in a May 26 non-fatal shooting in Laurel. Desean Antonio Jones, 29, of Barrel House Road in Laurel, is charged with attempted murder, armed robbery, assault and related charges. An adult male victim reported he was in a hotel room at the Days Inn in the 9800 block of Washington Boulevard when the suspect entered and pointed a handgun at him. The two men got into a physical altercation and the suspect shot the victim in the leg before fleeing. The victim was transported to the hospital where he was treated and released. Through investigation, police identified Jones as the suspect and arrested him.

Police responded to Howard County General Hospital where an adult male victim reported he got into an altercation with a male suspect at the above location and was assaulted. No serious injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.

Robbery arrest update
A Baltimore man has been charged in a warrant with the May 31 robbery of a 7-Eleven in the 9000 block of Frederick Road in Ellicott City. An employee reported that the suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash and cigarettes. The employee complied and the suspect fled. No one was injured. Through investigation, police identified the suspect as Terrence Frank Langley, 29, of White Oak Avenue in Baltimore, who is charged in a warrant with robbery, assault, and theft. He is currently being held in a neighboring jurisdiction.

Destruction of property arrest update
Police have arrested two suspects in multiple destruction of property cases in Laurel. From June 9-13, the suspects damaged 14 vehicles using a BB gun. No one was injured. Through investigation, police identified the suspects and arrested them.
ARRESTED: Nathan Bruce Phelps, 18, of Sheffield Court in Jessup, and Ryan Presley Frazier, 18, of Woodward Street in Savage, charged with destruction of property, reckless endangerment, assault, and weapon violations

An adult female victim reported she was exiting the library when she was approached by four male juvenile suspects who assaulted her and attempted to steal her purse. The suspects fled without stealing anything. No serious injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.

Two adult victims, a male and a female, reported they were walking back to their hotel room when they were approached by two male suspects who displayed handguns and demanded their belongings, including car keys. The victims complied and the suspects then stole the male victim’s car, a 2005 Toyota Camry with MD tags 7EGZ79, and fled. No one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.

Police responded for a report of a woman unconscious in her vehicle in the 6000 block of Marshalee Drive. The woman was taken to the hospital and reported that earlier in the night, two male suspects forced their way into her car, drove to an unknown location and physically assaulted her. Police have arrested a juvenile male, 17, of Columbia, in a May 4 residential burglary in Columbia. The suspect gained entry to a residence in the 5400 block of Wild Lilac by kicking in the front door and stole cash, a watch, a video game console and video games, and a cell phone. Through investigation, police identified the suspect and arrested him. He is charged with burglary and theft.
