Theft from vehicle
Columbia, 21045: 7100 block of Peace Chimes Court, Sept. 10 4:12 a.m.
Resident saw a suspect attempting to break into her vehicle and called police. Responding officers located the suspect nearby and arrested him. He has been charged in multiple similar cases in the area last night.
ARRESTED: Zion Smith, 18, of Sweet Clover Way, charged with multiple counts of rogue and vagabond and theft, one count of malicious destruction of property
Laurel, 20723: 9300 block of Breamore Court, Sept. 10 4:07 a.m.
Flashlight and pocket knife stolen.
Savage, 20763: 8800 block of Lincoln Street, Sept. 10 5:38 p.m.
Bag containing personal documents stolen.

Robbery
Columbia 21045: 6500 block of Dobbin Rd, Sept. 9, 11 a.m.: A female victim was walking through a parking lot when a suspect approached her, grabbed her purse and ran. No one was injured.
SUSPECT: white male, 6’0”, tan baseball cap, dark jacket, and tan pants
Commercial burglary
Columbia 21044: Exxon Gas, 10100 block of Little Patuxent Parkway, Sept. 8, 3:38 a.m.: Unknown suspects pried the front door of the business to gain entry. No property was taken.
SUSPECTS: Two black males in dark clothes with their faces covered
Columbia 21044: CVS Pharmacy, 5400 block of Lynx Lane, Sept. 8, 3:45 a.m.: Unknown suspects broke into the pharmacy at the CVS. Unknown method of entry. Police are investigating if this is related to the Exxon Gas burglary that occurred around the same time frame.

Ellicott City 21042: Verizon, 9300 block of Baltimore National Pike, Sept. 8, 4:09 a.m.: Officers responded to an alarm and found a service kiosk was tampered with. Unknown if anything was taken.
Ellicott City 21043: Sunoco Gas, 8400 block of Baltimore National Pike, Sept. 8, 4:15 a.m.: While investigating the burglary at the Verizon business, officers responded to a report of a burglary at Sunoco Gas. Cigarettes were taken.
Columbia 21045: 90+Cycling, 9100 block of Red Branch Road, Sept. 9, 9:44 a.m., Attempt: Officers responded for an alarm and found the front door glass to be shattered but still intact. No entry was made and nothing was taken.
Non-commercial burglary
Columbia 21046: 9500 block of Sweet Grass Ridge, Sept. 9, 11:35 a.m.: Unknown suspect(s) entered an unsecured garage and removed cash from a bag.
Laurel 20723: 8300 block of Haven Hill Court, Sept. 10, 12:55 a.m.: Unknown suspect broke garage windows at the residence. While making a check of the area, officers observed a male subject with blood on his hands, walking along the side of the road. Investigation linked the subject to the incident and he was arrested.
ARRESTED: Fard Muhammed Lucas, 31, of Earl Levy Court in Laurel, charged with burglary and destruction of property

Columbia 21044: 5600 block of Vantage Point Road, Sept. 7, 3:41 p.m.: Theft from vehicle. NFI.
Columbia 21044: 5600 block of Columbia Road, Sept. 8, 6:37 a.m.: Unknown suspect(s) entered vehicle and stole purse and credit cards.
Ellicott City 21043: 8700 block of Town and Country Blvd., Sept. 8, 7:30 a.m.: Unknown suspect(s) stole tires and rims stolen from a vehicle.
Jessup 20794: 7300 block of Assateague Drive, Sept. 8, 2:40 p.m.: Unknown suspect(s) stole a license plate.
Columbia 21046: 9400 block of Vollmerhausen Drive, Sept. 9, 5:34 a.m.: Unknown suspect(s) broke the windows of a vehicle and stole property.
Columbia 21046: 9600 block of West Window Way, Sept. 9, 7:52 a.m.: Multiple vehicles in the area were broken into on West Window Way, Sea Shadow, Sweet Grass Ridge, Moonrider Lane, Morning Mews, Cold Star Court and Greenmoon Path.
Columbia 21046: 9500 block of Clocktower Lane, Sept. 9, 5:46 a.m.: Unknown suspect(s) broke into a vehicle. Unknown if anything was taken.
Laurel 20723: 9300 block of Breamore Court, Sept. 10, 4:07 a.m.: Subjects were reported looking into and entering vehicles. NFI.
