Robbery arrest update
Police have made an arrest in an attempted purse-snatching robbery Sept. 19 in the CVS parking lot in the 6400 block of Waterloo Road in Columbia. An adult female victim reported she was approached by a male suspect who attempted to steal her purse. The suspect then fled without stealing anything; the victim sustained minor injuries. Through investigation, police identified the suspect and arrested him.

Residential burglary
Columbia, 21044: 5100 block of Darting Bird Lane, Oct. 3-4 overnight
Unknown suspect(s) gained entrance to the garage of the residence by breaking a window and stole landscaping equipment.
Vehicle theft
Jessup, 20794: 8300 blk Autumn Way, Oct. 3-4 overnight
