Howard County police are investigating an overnight collision in which an unidentified pedestrian
was struck and injured.
Just after 11 p.m., an adult male pedestrian was attempting to cross Route 175 just east of Dobbin
Road in Columbia when he was struck by a 2006 Subaru Impreza traveling westbound.
The pedestrian was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with critical
injuries. He did not have identification.
The driver, an adult female, remained at the scene. She was not injured. No charges have been
filed. The investigation is ongoing.
