Unknown suspect(s) gained entry to the residence by forcing open a rear basement door and stole various items including cash, jewelry, and electronics.

Elkridge, 21075: 7100 block of Dorsey Run Road, May 21 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m., purse, clothing

Columbia, 21045: 6100 block of Columbia Crossing Circle, May 22 5:23 p.m.
Police responded for a report of shoplifting and were able to locate the suspects in a vehicle that had been reported stolen in a neighboring jurisdiction. Both occupants were arrested.
ARRESTED: Bernard Benningfield, 65, of Romlon Street in Beltsville, charged with motor vehicle theft and theft, and Cybil Teachout, 43, of Truxton Road in Hyattsville, charged with theft
