ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County Executive Calvin Ball today, along with Visit Howard County, has announced the start of the popular Howard County Restaurant & Craft Beverages Weeks. The campaign kicked off at Ranazul’s new location in Hickory Ridge.

“Summer Restaurant and Craft Beverages Weeks is a great opportunity to explore all that Howard County’s culinary scene has to offer,” said Howard County Executive Calvin Ball. “From fresh Hawaiian dishes to Korean barbeque and French cuisine, everyone can find a meal that satisfies their palate among our diverse collection of restaurants. By participating in Restaurant and Craft Beverages Weeks, you are also contributing to our sense of community as we all support our local businesses and entrepreneurs.”

The culinary event will span two weeks from August 12 to 25. More than 35 locations, with special menus for the event, are participating in this summer’s event. Visit Howard County is partnering with iHeart Radio and giving away gift cards to participating restaurants via online drawings with radio stations Z104.3 Baltimore’s #1 Hit Music Station, 93.1 WPOC – Today’s Best Country, and 102.7 JACK-FM – Playing What We Want for Baltimore.

“What could be better than eating a good meal at a restaurant, taking advantage of promos and special menus, all while supporting wonderful small businesses,” said Deb Jung, Howard County Council Chair and representative for District 4. “I hope Howard Countians will take advantage of these last days of summer and eat and drink at Restaurant Weeks’ participating restaurants.”

“Howard County Restaurant & Craft Beverages Weeks showcases the incredible diversity and talent of our local culinary scene while significantly boosting our economy,” said Jennifer Jones, CEO for Howard County Economic Development Authority. “By participating, residents and visitors not only treat themselves to exceptional dining experiences but also play a crucial role in supporting local businesses and maintaining the vibrant character that makes Howard County a premier food and drink destination.”

“As a locally owned, family-run, small business, we always participate and appreciate Howard County’s Restaurant Weeks,” added Tricia Hudson, Co-Owner of Hudson Coastal Raw Bar & Grille and Board Chair of Visit Howard County. “This is an opportunity to sample the culinary dishes from our county’s small businesses that are the backbone of our economy. Food enthusiasts can discover local gems from downtown Columbia to the smaller tucked in spaces like Highland, Maple Lawn & Glenwood. The late summer months are a great time to enjoy fresh fish, refreshing Crushes, and delicious sun-ripened tomatoes. Your dining adventure through Howard County will show that we are an area full of great restaurants with excellent service that will bring you back again and again.

“We hope residents and visitors alike will immerse themselves in diverse flavors, exceptional dining options, and a community-building spirit that promises lasting memories and newfound appreciation for Howard County’s thriving restaurant scene.”, added Amanda Hof, Executive Director for Visit Howard County.
