At this week’s ribbon cutting during the grand opening ceremony for The Salt Sanctuary of Maryland, Howard County Executive Calvin Ball presented Salt Sanctuary owner, LaWanda Stone, with a Certificate of Recognition. The proclamation stated,

” Congratulations on 10 years of offering salt therapy, a natural, drug-free, non-invasive solution to respiratory ailments such as asthma, allergies, sinus problems, or COPD. Also known as Halotherapy, this ancient practice began centuries ago in the underground salt caves of Eastern Europe, when doctors noticed that miners who spent frequent time in the caves enjoyed benefits to their respiratory health and skin conditions.

Salt therapy offers a natural, drug-free, non-invasive solution to respiratory ailments such as asthma, allergies, sinus problems, or COPD. Salt Therapy can relieve symptoms, help you breath easier, restore energy, and improve well-being by enhancing the bod’s natural ability to balance and heal.

Thank you for providing customer with 10 years of alternative forms of self-care such as salt therapy, energy healing and sound healing that enriches the community.

Although The Salt Sanctuary has been in business for 10 years, Stone recently acquired sole ownership of the business. Stone decided it was time to have a celebratory grand opening to recognize the reorganization, but also to thank her supportive clients, friends, and family.

The Salt Sanctuary of Maryland is located in Howard County at 6020 Meadowridge Center Drive, in Elkdridge, Maryland.
