Truth be told! There’s an Unexpected Gallery Exhibition to Behold

Beautiful art is now on display at Slayton House in the Wilde Lake Village Center in Columbia, Maryland

Columbia, MD – 9 SEPTEMBER 2024 – Sometimes when painting a subject, things don’t always go as planned. The colors don’t look inviting; the subject is blurred by too much surrounding detail. You walk away frustrated, dejected, lost in a sea of brush strokes. Then, the next day you look and the paint magically reveals the truth you wanted to convey, an unexpected result that touches the soul. This art exhibit is an unexpected result that will touch your soul!

The Bernice Kish Gallery at Slayton House is currently presenting Always Revealing Truth,  an exhibition of works by Ralph Massella, Judith Weber, Julie Pistorio, and Gabriella Pistorio.

Al Biegel, a local master artist, curated this exhibit and has done several others for many years. He has mentored many artists over the years, encouraging them with boundless inspiration & positivity. Julie, Judith, and Ralph were either trained, mentored, or encouraged by Al to paint, paint, paint.

Unfortunately, the unexpected happened two weeks ago, before they collected their art for the exhibit. Al called the team to share that he was unable to participate and encouraged them to continue on with the exhibit.

That inspired them to work together to coordinate their art and fill the walls with inspiring pieces. The artists are confident that Al would be proud and are so thankful for his support and encouragement in pursuing their creative endeavors.

This artwork now on display at the Bernice Kush Art Gallery was painted by Ralph Masella.

You, the observer, will surely be thrilled at the wonderful variety of art now on display for your viewing pleasure. The artists plan to donate 10% of any proceeds from the artwork sales to a local charity. You’re invited to meet the artists during their reception on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the Bernice Kish Gallery from 3:00 pm-5:00 pm.

There will be a special performance of a song made exclusively to coincide with one of Ralph Massella’s paintings. This event will leave you feeling inspired to go and create, despite all odds. Can’t make the reception? The exhibition will be on display until October 6, 2024. Any pieces sold will stay on display until the exhibition closes.

“We are delighted to share the artwork of the friends and students of Al Biegel, a long time resident of Wilde Lake. Al’s tremendous influence may be seen in the beautiful artwork on display at the Bernice Kish Gallery at Slayton House. Many thanks to Al for introducing us to these talented artists,” stated Executive Director and Village Manager, Wilde Lake Community Association, Sharon Cooper-Kerr.
