Laurel Man Missing; Police Seek Public’s Help

Howard County police are asking for the public’s help to locate a Laurel man missing since Oct. 30.

Fernando Lara Aldana, 54, left his residence in the 9400 block of Mayflower Court on foot towards Laurel City around 5:20 p.m. He was last seen around 10:30 p.m. near T. Howard Duckett Park in Laurel, where police recovered his cell phone on Oct. 31. He has not been seen since. Police have made extensive area checks to include the use of drones, but have not been able to locate him.

Police are concerned for his well-being because of memory-related medical conditions. Aldana is a Hispanic male, 5-foot-8, 200 pounds with a scar on his forehead, black hair, and a black goatee. He was last see wearing a green and white long-sleeve shirt and dark-colored sweatpants with stripes down the side with no shoes. Aldana only speaks Spanish.
