HCPD Offer $10,000 for Information Leading to the Arrest of a Killer

Howard County Police are offering $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of the assailant in the January murder of Natanael Rodriguez Cuxun.  Detectives believe the shooting, which occurred on January 21, 2024, stemmed from an altercation that earlier that evening. Police have reason to believe that the place of the altercation was nearby the location of the shooting

Cuxun, 17, of Arlington, Virginia, was a passenger in a vehicle traveling on Snowden River Parkway just south of Rustling Leaf at approximately 2:10 a.m. when he was shot. Detectives believe the suspect fired several shots at his vehicle from another vehicle that then fled the scene. Cuxun was struck once; the other two occupants of the vehicle were not injured.

Police doubled the reward recently in an attempt to discover more information that might lead to an arrest and conviction. Police are continuing to investigate this shooting, which they believe to have been targeted rather than random.

Anyone with information should contact police at 410-313-STOP or HCPDcrimetips@howardcountymd.gov. You may remain anonymous.
